MCP for Claude and ChatGPT
Ask Claude or ChatGPT for the analysis instead of browsing for it.

What it is
MCP (Model Context Protocol, the standard way AI assistants connect to other tools) lets Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor work with your adintel library. Your AI can search competitor ads, tear down brands, read transcripts, build boards and check Lens, all inside your Space.
MCP is on the Team plan and up. On a trial or Starter, the connector answers with an upgrade message instead of data. Everything you need is on Settings → API and MCP, including the connector URL:
https://app.adintel.biz/mcp
Claude.ai and Claude Desktop
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Name it adintel, paste the connector URL, click Add, then Connect.
- Sign in to adintel if asked, pick your workspace and press Allow. No key is needed.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced and turn on Developer mode.
- Create a connector with the connector URL and choose OAuth sign-in (you sign in and approve, no key to copy).
- Sign in to adintel, pick your workspace and press Allow.
Claude Code, Cursor and scripts
These use an API key instead of signing in.
- On Settings → API and MCP, click Create API key with MCP connector ticked. Copy the key; it is shown only once.
- For Claude Code, run this in your terminal, with your key in place of
adk_your_key:
claude mcp add --transport http adintel https://app.adintel.biz/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer adk_your_key"
For Cursor and other clients, use the same URL with the header Authorization: Bearer adk_your_key.
API keys and connected apps
- A key acts as you, in this workspace, with your role. Create one per tool so you can switch them off one at a time.
- Click Revoke next to a key to stop it at once. A key also stops working if you leave the workspace.
- Connected apps lists Claude or ChatGPT connections made by signing in, with Disconnect.
- Recent calls shows what your AI asked for and whether it worked. To test the connection, ask your AI "what's in my adintel library?"
Claude skills
A skill teaches Claude how to research with these tools: which signals mean "winner", what costs credits, and the tables and briefs to hand back. Download them from the Skills box on Settings → API and MCP (one at a time or Download all).
- adintel-research: the core skill. Competitor teardowns, weekly new-ad reviews, swipe files, hook mining, briefs from boards and Lens checks.
- adintel-evergreen-hunter: ads in a niche that survived 90+ days, grouped by hook and angle.
- adintel-weekly-sweep: a Monday brief of what tracked competitors launched, retired and scaled.
- adintel-creative-test-autopsy: which same-day variants survived and what the winners changed.
- adintel-angle-gap: your own winning ads in Lens against competitors' long runners, to find angles you are not testing.
- adintel-board-to-brief: turns a board into a production brief.
- adintel-hook-lab: a bank of opening lines ranked by how long their ads ran.
- adintel-landing-page-war-room: a competitor's landing pages, the hooks and offers pointing at each, and angles to attack.
Claude.ai and Claude Desktop: upload the zip under Settings → Capabilities → Skills. Claude Code: unzip it into ~/.claude/skills/.
What costs credits
Reading is free: searching brands, brand profiles and tabs, listing and opening creatives, transcripts, similar ads, alerts, boards, Lens and usage.
- Pulling new ads from the Ad Library uses about 0.4 credits per ad.
- Tagging and transcribing uses about 1.7 credits per tag on Claude Opus (0.2 on Haiku) and 0.3 per transcript.
- Following a brand uses one of your tracked-brand slots.
Only owners and admins can pull ads or run tagging through MCP, and the skills tell the AI to ask you first, with the most it can cost. Calls are limited to 120 a minute per person.
Example prompts
Find the 20 longest-running hooks in probiotic gummies,
cluster them by angle, and put the top five on a board
called "Q4 angles" with a note on why each works.
What new ads did Nutrafol launch since Monday? Summarise the hooks.
Which of Nutrafol's hooks has run the longest, and what did they launch on October 5?
