Install
The full step-by-step guide, with the download, is on the extension install page. It takes about three minutes. In short:
- Download the extension zip from the install page and unzip it. Move the folder somewhere it can stay, because Chrome runs the extension from it.
- In Chrome, go to
chrome://extensionsand switch on Developer mode (top right). - Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder.
- Click the puzzle-piece icon and pin AdIntel · Save Ads so it stays visible.
Brave, Edge, Arc and Comet work too. The extension is in review on the Chrome Web Store; until it is listed there, install it from the file.
Connect your account
Log in at app.adintel.biz in the same browser. The extension notices the login and connects by itself. Click its icon to check: the popup shows your name and your Space, and lets you pick the board new saves go to.
You can also type your adintel email and password into the popup, or paste an extension key (below).
Save and download
Open an ad library. A small bar appears under every ad with a board picker, Save and Download. A badge counts the ads on the page you already have.
- Save stores the ad in your library like a collected one: brand, copy, links, dates, platforms and a copy of each image or video. It queues AI tagging and, for videos, a transcript. The ad lands on the board you picked, or on Saved from Ad Library. Saving the same ad again does nothing extra.
- Download puts the image or video in your Downloads folder, filed by brand.
Where it works
| Site | Where the buttons show |
|---|---|
| Facebook Ad Library | Every ad card in search results and on a Page's ads |
| TikTok Ad Library | Every ad card |
| TikTok Creative Center | Top ads, once you are logged in to TikTok |
| LinkedIn Ad Library | Every ad card and the ad's detail page |
| Posts and reels in the feed and on profiles |
Extension keys
An extension key is a login for the extension only. Use one when the automatic connection does not work, for example on a shared computer.
- Open Settings → Chrome extension and click Create extension key.
- Copy the key straight away. It is shown only once.
- Paste it into the extension popup.
A key lasts a year. Create one per computer and click Revoke on the same page to switch one off. Resetting your password also signs out every extension key.
Troubleshooting
- No buttons on the ad library. Reload the page once after installing. Still missing? Open
chrome://extensionsand check the AdIntel card is switched on. - The popup asks you to sign in. Log in at app.adintel.biz in the same browser, then click the icon again, or sign in from the popup.
- The popup says "Cannot reach" an address. Click Advanced in the popup, enter
https://app.adintel.bizas the server URL and sign in again. - Chrome shows "Disable developer mode extensions" after a restart. Click Cancel; the extension keeps working.
- Updating. Download the new zip from the install page, remove the old card on
chrome://extensionsand load the new folder. Your saves live in adintel, so nothing is lost.
What it can see
The extension reads the ad data the ad library page already loads, and only for the ad you click Save or Download on. It sends nothing until you click, and never reads other sites, your history or your passwords. Details in the privacy policy.
