Install the adintel extension
Six steps, about three minutes. When you are done, every ad in the Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn ad libraries gets a Save and a Download button.
The extension is in review on the Chrome Web Store. Until it is listed there, install it from the file below. Chrome calls this a "developer mode" install, but it is the same extension, signed off by us, and it stays installed until you remove it.

Download and unzip
Double-click the zip. On a Mac it becomes a folder called adintel-extension-0.3.0 in Downloads; on Windows, right-click it and choose Extract All.
Move that folder somewhere it can stay, for example Documents. Chrome runs the extension from this folder, so do not delete it afterwards.

Open Chrome's extensions page
In Chrome, click the address bar, type chrome://extensions and press Enter. Or use the menu: ⋮ → Extensions → Manage Extensions.
Brave, Edge, Arc and Comet work too; their address is brave://extensions, edge://extensions, and so on.

Switch on Developer mode
Top right of the extensions page, flip the Developer mode switch on. Three new buttons appear at the top left.

Load the folder
Click Load unpacked and pick the adintel-extension-0.3.0 folder from step 1. Pick the folder itself, not a file inside it.
A card named AdIntel · Save Ads appears, switched on. If Chrome shows a yellow "Disable developer mode extensions" bar after a restart, click Cancel; the extension keeps working.

Pin it to the toolbar
Click the puzzle-piece icon to the right of the address bar, find AdIntel · Save Ads and click the pin next to it. The orange adintel icon now stays visible.

Connect your account
Go to app.adintel.biz and log in. The extension notices the login and connects itself; nothing to type.
To check, click the orange icon: the popup shows your name and your workspace, and lets you pick the board new saves go to.

Use it
Open an ad library. Go to the Facebook Ad Library and search for any brand. A small bar appears under every ad, with a board picker, Save and Download. The badge in the corner counts how many ads on the page you already have.
Save. Sends the ad to your adintel library with its copy, links, dates, platforms and a copy of each image or video. The button turns into "Saved ✓" with a link back to adintel. Saving the same ad twice does nothing extra.
Download. Puts the ad's image or video in your Downloads folder, filed by brand.

If something is off
No buttons on the ad library. Reload the page once after installing. If they are still missing, open chrome://extensions and check the AdIntel card is switched on.
The popup asks you to sign in. Log in at app.adintel.biz in the same browser, then click the icon again. You can also type your adintel email and password straight into the popup.
The popup says "Cannot reach" an address. Click Advanced in the popup, enter https://app.adintel.biz as the server URL and sign in again.
Updating to a new version. Download the new zip from this page, remove the old card on chrome://extensions, and load the new folder the same way. Your saves live in adintel, not in the extension, so nothing is lost. Once the Web Store listing is live, Chrome will update it by itself.
Removing it. On chrome://extensions, click Remove on the AdIntel card. Nothing stays behind in your browser.
What it can see
The extension reads the ad data the ad library page already loads, and only for the ad you click Save or Download on. It sends nothing anywhere until you click. It never reads other sites, your history or your passwords. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
